My recent pieces are from a series that reflect my interest in the human body and specifically the female body. Of special interest is the use of charcoal, the experiences of mark making, of creating lines and shapes based on the interplay of light and dark values on the surfaces of the nude female body. I consider my artwork to be an experimental language that focuses on creating three-dimensional figures on a two-dimensional space.
As a digital artist I am interested in visually creating human experiences by combining digital art and fine art. I think that using the computer as a medium and a visual voice to create 2D and 3D animations is just another way to uncovering deep emotional states that haunt as all.
What motivates me most about art is also the idea of translating experience into imagery, the fact that art engages people as active receivers rather than passive viewers, and, finally, the fact that artists can create effective messages by being respectfully proactive rather than confrontational.
